  • The changing of times...

We are moving out of our cozy little apartment on Second Street and venturing as far away from home as Pendleton Oregon.  Our new home is a 31' airstream trailer.  We will miss our friends and family dearly.  But it is only for a time, and we are moving in the direction God keeps pointing us.  Eddie has been offered a good job down there, and we are not too far from people we love.  So we are excited for a little change and hopefully a big adventure!

  • Yet another snowy Tuesday morning

"Myths reveal to us what we are capable of." -Davis Whyte

"Myth is a lane down which we walk in order to reposses our soul." -Clyde Kilby

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.  Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.  It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.  We ask ourselves, "Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous?" Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God.  Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't fell insecure around you.  We are born to manifest the glory of God that is within us...And as we let our light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.  As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."  -Nelson Mandela

  • spring break

Spring Break is almost over but I...

    • read 2 books and am working on the third "Going Postal" by Terry Pratchett.
    • went through my closet and "deep cleaned" my kitchen cupboards
    • got my paints out and tried to paint, though they all ended up looking like a 12 year old did it so I gave up.
    • went out to lunch with my favorite friends
    • watched it rain, snow and shine.
    • watched Castle, Foyles War and Monk.
    • made blueberry scones and no-bake cookies (half of which I had to give to my neighbor because I stole some substantial ingredients in the process of making them)
    • laughed so hard on Saint Patrick's day when Eddie told all his Irish jokes.
    • went on long walks with Eddie.

Over all, it was a good week.

    A weekend project..

I have been meaning to do this for over a year now, ever since my parents got us our beautiful table set. And this weekend Eddie and I were inspired because of the wonderful rain, so we recovered our dinning room chairs with this grand fabric I found on the red-tag sale rack at Joanns.
